Joanna Lipari, Psy.D. was born in New York. After graduating from Manhattanville College with a degree in English Literature, she studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City with famed teacher Sanford Meisner. She is married to television writer-producer Remi Aubuchon and they have one daughter. Joanna returned to graduate school, receiving a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2004. Currently, her "day job" is as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University, teaching in both their Masters and Doctoral Programs. She has a psychological website, www.DrLipari.com, which explores current events in the blog, "The Crazy World We Live In" as well as podcasts of "The Psych Minute" and "This Crazy Week".
